Online ticketing: buy or sell a place without a trap
An electronic ticket may be copied, cancelled or subject to transfer rules. The best protection is to identify the authorized circuit before comparing the price or position in the room.
Quick response
Essential in a minute
Check the date, place, category, placement, name, total price and pre-payment charges for the official ticketing and, if available, the resale exchange. Leisure tickets on a specified date are generally not subject to the right of withdrawal. On the secondary market, avoid screenshots and prefer a transfer made in the official system.
1. Returning to the authorized circuit
Start with the site of the organizer, the venue, the artist or the club and follow the link to the designated distributor. A sponsored result, a similar domain name or a site that presents itself as "number one" does not prove that it is the official channel. Identify whether the page sells primary tickets or organizes their resale. For an exhausted place, first look for the official exchange announced by the organizer rather than a seller found in a comment or a courier.
- Link followed from an official source.
- Distinguished sale and resale.
- Private seller avoided off-platform.
2. Check the event and exact place
Check city, place, date, time, category, rank, seat, visibility and possible restrictions on age or access. A simplified plan may hide a side view or standing area. Check if the ticket is nominal, if a proof of identity will be requested and if a change of name is possible. Never publish the access code or the entire ticket: a usable copy can circulate before your arrival and make the place unusable.
- Date and place re-read.
- Placement and visibility included.
- Name rules identified.
3. Read the total price and conditions
Add facial value, service charge, delivery, transfer and insurance if any. Some fees only appear at an advanced stage; check the final summary without giving in to a time counter. Read the exclusions of cancellation insurance and the rules in case of postponement or cancellation by the organizer. Leisure benefits provided on a specified date are usually part of the exceptions to the right of withdrawal, and the conditions often provide few possibilities for exchange.
- Fees added to the facial price.
- Insurance and exclusions
- Absence of withdrawal is usually understood.
4. Secure secondary purchase and transfer
Use a platform or exchange recognized by the organiser and check how the old ticket is invalidated for the benefit of the new one. An image, a PDF sent by email or a discount on transfer does not prevent multiple resale. Keep the offer page, the identity displayed, the payment and confirmation. If you resell, follow the rules of the event and the applicable regulations, including the prohibition of certain usual unauthorized resales.
- Transfer to the planned system.
- Former invalidated or replaced access.
- Confirmation and payment retained.

Frequently Asked Questions
Useful answers
Can we retract after purchasing a ticket?
Generally not for a leisure activity provided on a specified date. Read the terms of exchange, deferral and cancellation before payment.
Is a screenshot of the ticket sufficient?
It does not guarantee the uniqueness or validity of the code. Prefer the transfer or official exchange that links the place to your account.
Can we sell a more expensive place?
The regulation and conditions of the organiser may limit or prohibit certain resales. For certain publicly assisted events, specific rules govern the price.
