Compare two packs

For three packages of 250 g, indicate quantity 250, unit grams and number 3. Use the full lot price. For a single container, leave the number to 1.

Offer A

Price per quantity considered: —

Offer B

Price per quantity considered: —

Leave 100% to compare purchased quantities. To allow for unused leftovers, enter the share you expect to consume: the price is then divided by that usable quantity. This percentage is your own assumption.

What the ratio compares

Educational example: 6 € for 750 g give 8 €/kg. Three packages of 250 g for 5,40 € give 7,20 €/kg. The second batch costs 0,80 € less per kilo; this does not prove equivalent quality.

Do not compare masses with volumes without product-specific conversion information. For a concentrated product, also look at the dose and number of uses. One price per litre does not describe the cost of washing.

Fictional example: when 80% is consumed, a €5.40 pack containing 750 g costs €9 per usable kg. A €6 pack containing 750 g that is fully consumed stays at €8 per usable kg. The cheaper pack to buy can therefore cost more per quantity actually used.

Distinguish an immediate discount from a future loyalty benefit. Basket fees, substitutions, storage and unused quantities may change the interest of the offer.
